2007 Annual Labor Day Parade
and
Classic Car Show
September 3rd 2007
The day will start with the marshalling of the cars, floats and people beginning
at 9:30 am
Classic Cars will assemble at the Home Hardware parking lot.
Floats will assemble at the Home Hardware parking Lot.
Those walking will assemble at the Church parking lot and the field next
to the Church.
The Parade will Begin at 11:00 am
The Parade will conclude on Pierson St Just off of Goderich St.
• Once the parade has concluded, all Parade participants will proceed
to the CAW for Lunch.
(12:00 Noon through 2:00 pm) and the afternoon activities.Set Up For the Afternoon
Activities
Classic Car Show 12:00 Noon to 5:00 pm
Cars will be parked in the Foot ball Field
Motorcycles Show (if possible) 12:00 Noon to 5:00 pm
The Safety Rodeo 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm
The set up for the Rodeo will be on the Parking Lot.
The set up will be for Registration and a Safety check Station.
The Six Stations for the Rodeo Event.Shiners Trucks and Equipment
The area on the south side of the parking lot and in 20 ft. from the edge of
Parking lot will be where the trucks and equipment will be parked.
Music and Announcements
A station for Music and the announcements will be located in front of the Classic
Car Show.
Booths
Booths will be set up along the center of the Parking lot from south to north.
Labour Council, United Way, Health Care.
Hot Air Balloon Rides
This is a new part of the parade we hope to have as part of the United Way
Booth.
Kettle Corn
Prizes
Prizes will be presented between 3:45 to 4:00 pm from the station where the
music is playing.
Prizes for the Classic Cars, will be chosen by “Peoples Choice Ballots."
Approximate cost $150.00
Prizes for the Children’s Safety Rodeo will be selected from three categories –
A) Kindergarten to grade 2
B) grades 3 & 4 and
C) grades 5 & 6.
The top score in each category will win a gift card for $150.00
